What is the nature and origin of Authority? What responsibilities do those in power have to those that they rule? How do you respond to Authority in changing and unsettled times? These are the questions and themes that provide the framework of one of Shakespeare’s greatest, but largely overlooked, plays: “Richard II”.

Contemporary Classics Theatre is proud to present this classic but timely work in a way that speaks to who and where we are now. Utilizing a more contemporary setting and modern-inspired original music, we seek to examine these questions that determine the qualities which bind us as people and as a society.

*Free to attend.

Please note that seating is limited. Please plan to arrive early and/or bring lawn chairs or blankets. Food and drinks are available for purchase at onsite tenants.
